Dog Breed Scanner by Photo (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is an AI-assisted web and mobile tool that helps users generate possible dog breed identifications, mixed-breed estimates, breed cards, mood notes, and general care information from photos they choose to upload or capture with their device camera.
1. Information You Provide
The App may process uploaded images, camera photos selected through the browser or mobile app, scan mode, selected language, optional dog age or size context, optional photo context, and any notes typed into the form. Do not upload private documents, addresses, payment information, or sensitive personal data.
2. AI Processing
When you request a scan, the submitted image and form details may be sent to an external AI API provider configured by the site owner, such as OpenAI, to generate the result. The OpenAI API key is stored only on the server side and is not printed into frontend JavaScript or embedded inside the Android application.
3. Usage Limits and Technical Data
The App may process technical data such as IP address, browser or device information, session identifiers, request time, usage count, upload size, and error logs to apply free-scan limits, prevent abuse, diagnose issues, and maintain the App.
4. Accounts, Payments, and Google Play
The web version may link to the owner’s Google Play developer page or app listing. If the Android version includes subscriptions or purchases, payments are handled by Google Play according to Google’s own terms and policies. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Limited request data and technical data may be processed by hosting, security, analytics, payment, or AI service providers only as needed to operate, protect, and improve the App.
6. Data Retention
Uploaded photos, request details, generated results, and technical logs may be processed temporarily to provide the scan result, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and maintain service security. We aim to keep only the data needed for these purposes and may delete or anonymize data when it is no longer required.
7. Data Deletion Requests
You may request deletion of data associated with your use of Dog Breed Scanner by Photo by contacting us at [email protected]. Please include the app name, the approximate date of use, and any details that can help us locate the relevant request data.
After receiving a valid deletion request, we will make reasonable efforts to delete or anonymize the relevant data from our active systems, unless we need to retain limited information for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or service maintenance purposes. Data processed by third-party providers may also be subject to their own retention and deletion policies.
8. User Responsibility
AI dog breed identification from a photo may be inaccurate or incomplete. The result is not a DNA test, veterinary diagnosis, or professional breed certification. Users are responsible for reviewing the result and consulting qualified professionals for medical, breeding, shelter, adoption, or legal decisions.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended to collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will review the request.
